Believe it or not, undeniably, land pollution has become the aftermath consequence of excessive littering.
Not only is it an eyesore, it is also an environmental issue, which would surely have a detrimental impact on other aspects, for example, on our local economy, and at the expense of our own 'clean-and-green' reputation that has been carved out painstakingly by our older generations.

It also harms your loved ones around you, putting their lives and many others at risk, when you create illegal dumping sites,
which are maybe deemed as FIRE HAZARDS.

Research results have also shown that these are the typical sources of litter:

3. Household Garbage Cans
4. Commercial Dumpsters

9. Debris that falls off from improperly secured trash and recycling collection vehicles and pickup trucks
Statistics of profiles of littering offences from 2002-2006:
1.2% - Teens
19% - below 21 years of age
38.5% - 21-30 years of age
20.6% - 31-40 years of age
14.5% - above 21 years of age
How can we do our part in protecting our environment and ensuring that it is kept litter-free?
Here are some simple suggestions:
2. Reuse paper by using two sides of it instead of just one side only.
3. Avoid using plastic bags if possible, go for reusable bags.
4. Dispose your garbage properly into the garbage refuse chute, and not beside/on/around the garbage refuse chute.
